For several weeks now, the freelance immigration court interpreters of the United States have been fighting a one-sided contract that the EOIR’s (Executive Office for Immigration Review) new contractor, SOSi, has offered as the only option to work in the courts. The interpreters have presented a united common front fighting against deplorable working conditions and historically low fees for their professional services. IAPTI applauds their efforts and stands by these courageous colleagues in their struggle for an opportunity to do their job under dignified and fair conditions. You are not alone!
