My work experience goes back to my first internship at Chilean Language Services (CLS), a national translation company, where I had to translate texts related to mining, construction, science, art, and health, as well as start using CAT tools, such as Trados.

Later, I joined an art magazine named Arte Al Límite, also as an intern, to gain experience translating art-related articles and practicing direct and inverse translation, as well as reviewing and editing the original documents in Spanish and other people’s translations.

After that, I spent some time teaching English as a second language, and later I joined a project for AstraZeneca laboratory conducted by IQVIA, a US-based company present in several countries, including Chile, whose focus is to accelerate innovation in the healthcare industry. As a Safety Associate, I conveyed information in the best way possible by answering medical questions from the USA and Europe regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.

Currently, I work as a Career Specialist for a US-based company named BMR Health Services Inc., which specializes in placing healthcare professionals from all over the world in the US market. The Chilean branch oversees all the processes of the LatAm candidates. Apart from my duties as a recruiter, I am in charge of the Translation department, which is currently composed of 8 Translation interns from different educational institutions. The main tasks here involve inverse translating programs of studies of the speech-language pathology degree, credits certificates, and degree certificates, among others, using MS Office tools as well as MemoQ.
