Attorney-at-law and Certified Translator (University of Buenos Aires), with more than twenty
years’ experience in legal translation.
Teaches Translation of Economic and Legal Texts in the Post-Graduate Master’s Translation
Course at Universidad de Belgrano, Buenos Aires.
Former Director of the first Post-Graduate Course in Legal English and Common Law for
Civil-Law Lawyers at Universidad Austral, Buenos Aires, and former Professor of Translation
IV and Lecturer in English Language III (Anglo-American Law) at the School of Translation
Studies, University of Buenos Aires.
Has lectured widely on Legal Translation, General Translation Theory and Practice, and
Comparative Law, with more than 100 postgraduate seminars and courses taught in
Argentina and abroad. Several papers on Legal Translation presented at conferences held
in Argentina, the United States, Finland and England.
Past activities in the legal profession include services as legal advisor to the Board of
Discipline of the Buenos Aires Association of Certified Translators and serving as notary
public at the Argentine Coastguard Service.
