ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
I’m a freelance subtitler working for several agencies in the EN – SP – EN language combination. My work is present in several streaming platforms (Netflix, Prime Video) and cable channels (AXN). Additionally, I have worked as a college professor for 18+ years forming future translators and interpreters in the fields of Grammar, Linguistics, Contrastive Analysis and Subtitling at UNIACC University, Santiago, Chile. In this last subject, during the last 5 years, I have worked pro-bono with independent American film directors generating the subtitles for their feature documentaries as part of the Subtitling class. The students work in a real environment with a real client and get close to experiencing a professional job.
