ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
I have 5 years of professional translation and interpreting experience after graduation. I was responsible for translating the English subtitles of a documentary series titled “Xu Zhimo and His Contemporaries”, which was aired on China Central Television and U.S.-based Chinese language television network SinoVision. My other translation projects include the Chinese translation of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors “Prize Philanthropy Guide Benefits Challenges and Winning Approaches”. In addition to translation, I’ve performed conference interpreting for the Chinese delegation of China Publishing Group and Leadership Beyond Boundaries, a Chinese executives study group.
Currently, I serve as Staff Translator at Harvey Industries International Inc. My duties include:
• Research technical and industry-specific glossaries pertinent to assigned projects
• Use computer-assisted translation tools (CAT Tools) to translate product manuals and other materials from Chinese into English and vice versa
• Attend conferences and meetings and perform consecutive interpreting to facilitate discussion via Zoom or in person
• Schedule appointments with staff who require interpreting or translation assistance
