ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
My name is María Fernanda Pignataro and I am a Certified English to Spanish Translator living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With +25 years’ experience in translation, my areas of expertise are medicine, pharmaceutical products and health care in general. Born (1966) and raised in Buenos Aires, I graduated from Universidad del Salvador in 1990 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Translation. I spent the first years of my career translating several fields: technical documents on engineering, naval engineering, commercial papers, personal documentation and others. I also worked in criminal courts as an interpreter in oral trials and in commercial courts as a translator for two years. I started translating medicine and pharmaceuticals in 2000, and I have been working almost exclusively in these fields ever since. My clients are mostly international pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations (CRO), but I also work for international translation agencies.
