Over 30 years experience as a translator from English to German, including over 28 years as a freelancer. Four years experience as interpreter (conference, simultaneous/whisper, consecutive, telephone). Two years experience as translation manager for Headquarters British Forces Germany.
As a freelancer my main focus is the translation of clinical studies. In this field I translated well over 300,000 words last year alone, plus approximately another 100,000 words of manuals for medical technology software, mainly for radiology equipment, as well as instructions for use of surgical equipment. I also cover medical questionnaires both for professionals as well as patients and general medical texts. My experience in those specific fields covers approximately 15 years.
