Duties and responsibilities:
• Fluency in Greek language.
• Experience in Courts, Legal sector, Police, NHS, Education, Local Authorities, Immigration etc.
• A good understanding and in-depth knowledge of language/country-specific cultures and adapt to different styles.
• Hold enhance DBS
• An understanding of the way other languages are used by native speakers, for example informal speech and slang.
• Subject matter knowledge.
• Knowledge of the field in, for example politics, economics, or trade, health, Education, Manufacturing Community, Local authorities Wider Public Sector Civil Service Government Departments, business, technical or scientific field etc.
• Excellent writing skills and command of grammar.
• Attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly to meet deadlines.
• The ability to use initiative in a commercial context.
• Proficiency in the use of a range of computer packages – knowledge of translation-oriented applications and software is helpful, though not essential.
• Good IT skills, particularly word processing good IT skills, particularly word processing.
