Jan Kolbaba is a professional full-time freelance translator with vast
experience in handling technical translations. His main areas of focus
are in automotive, software & hardware, engineering, trucks,
agricultural and construction machinery but he is also able to handle
many other areas as well.
His technical education and in-depth knowledge of technical terminology,
combined with several years of expertise and active collaboration with
many engineering technicians, as well as direct clients and agencies
have taught him that quality, a deep understanding of front-end
technologies, accuracy, reliability and meeting deadlines are the most
important factors for manufacturers, agencies and the ultimate market.
By using the professional equipment (CAT and Quality Management Tools),
developing and maintaining vast terminology databases and translation
memories, he ultimately guarantees unmitigated consistency of the
terminology even while handling the largest technical translation
projects.
He doesn’t provide translations for the fields of finance, banking, law or economics.
As well as being an enthusiastic translator he’s also a passionate
motorcyclist who never refuses a glass of good, cold beer or a medium
steak.
