WEBINAR: An overview on the ins and outs of video game localization

In this webinar, Pablo Muñoz Sánchez will give an introduction to the different challenges that video game translators have to face working either in-house or as freelancers. Although there will be a bit of theory about the video game localization process, this webinar will focus mainly on the practical aspects of the profession, including how a typical Excel file looks like in video game localization projects and how to deal with variables, character limitations and tags in this kind of translation. Furthermore, since many people in this industry work as testers to perform the quality assurance of localizations, there will be an introduction of the different kind of bugs that may appear after the text is implemented in the game and how to report them properly to the translation and development teams so that they can be fixed as soon as possible.
