Translate and change the world. Using passion, motivation and inspiration to run a business
In our professional lives, we are often dragged down by low rates, client requests, incompatible formats and pages and pages of the same old thing. It is easy to forget why we even wanted to get into translation in the first place.
In this presentation, we will go back to basics and rediscover the “why” of our businesses. Using a variety of business concepts, we will see how we can fit this passion, motivation and inspiration into running a successful freelance business. We will discuss the foundations of modern entrepreneurship: the Golden Circle, blue ocean strategy, business canvas and the Ideal Customer Avatar.
By the end of this session, you will know how to infuse your business with passion, motivation and inspiration to be a happier freelancer and win good clients. It is likely that you will leave the room with a set of new ideas to improve your business.
If you became a translator or interpreter because you wanted to change the world (or bridge cultures, or help people communicate), you should come to this presentation.
