Creativity in Humor Translation: Professional vs Non-professional

Factors affecting the creativity of professional and non-professional subtitle translators in humor translation.This study draws attention to the lack of necessary conditions to be creative in the working environment of professional subtitle translators, and has the potential to problematize the situation.

BIOGRAPHY

Ceren Şentürk was born in Bursa, Turkey in 1990. She graduated from the Department of Translation and Interpretation in English at Trakya University in 2012 and received her master’s degree from the Department of Translation and Interpretation in English at Hacettepe University in 2018. Currently, she is working as a remote conference interpreter and researching possible subjects for a doctorate’s degree in translation and interpretation.
