IAPTI is inviting all translators and interpreters to submit their presentation proposals for its 6th International Conference to be held on 3–4 October, 2020, in Timișoara, Romania.

Save the date in your calendars and start making plans to meet fellow translators and interpreters from around the globe, share knowledge and network, while enjoying the beautiful city of Timișoara. If you have attended or heard about our past conferences (London, Athens, Bordeaux, Buenos Aires, and Valencia), then you know this is an event not to be missed! There will also be both professional and leisure fringe activities for attendees.

The association, an advocate for ethical practices in translation and interpreting, unites language professionals from all over the world. If you share and support IAPTI’s mission, why not consider giving a presentation at our sixth conference to share your ideas with this very diverse audience? All topics related to translation, interpreting and terminology are welcome.

Abstracts should be a maximum of 200 words and should be submitted to the Organising Committee at romaniaconference@iapti.org by 31 March, 2020. Priority will be given to new topics not presented before at other conferences. Please include a title and description, a short bio (up to 100 words) and a profile photo with your proposal. Speakers will have 45-50 minutes for their presentations and 10 minutes for Q&A.

The Organising Committee reserves the right to accept or reject proposals and will notify applicants accordingly. The conference fee is waived for speakers (1 per presentation) though no monetary compensation or reimbursement is offered.
