He is related to the early 19-century French Egyptologist Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Champollion, famous for his work on the Rosetta Stone and the decipherment of Egyptian hieroglyphics. Yves was a freelance translator in the 1980\u2019s, a Project Manager for large translation projects in the 1990\u2019s, and the translator of science books. Yves developed the Wordfast suite of Computer-\nAssisted Translation tools (www.wordfast.com), widely used in translation with over 95,000 licenses.
