In 2005, she graduated as an international proofreader of Spanish from Fundaci\u00f3n Litterae-Fund\u00e9u. Since 2011 she has been a Corresponding Member of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language (ANLE).\n\nAurora is one of the founding members and the current President of the International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters.\n\nAurora translated, among others, <em>The New York Times<\/em> bestseller, <em>A Long Walk to Water<\/em> by Linda Sue Park (HMH). Bank Street College of Education included two of her translations in the yearly bulletin \u201cBest Translations into Spanish of the Year\u201d: <em>If I Built a Car<\/em> by Chris Van Dusen (Penguin) in 2020, and <em>Bodies are cool<\/em> by Tyler Feder (Penguin) in 2024. In 2023, as an Awarded Author, she received the Silver Medal of the International Latino Book Award (ILBA) for her translation of <em>The Last Cuentista<\/em> by Donna Barba Higuera (Levine Querido). ILBA is an annual award given to authors, translators, and illustrators. It is the largest Latino Cultural Award in the USA.\n<\/p>\nHer latest translations include <em>Tutti\u2019s Promise<\/em> by K.
